Historic preservation
The history of Frederick has always been a vital part of our community. Building upon that, historic preservation concerns have been a major driver in shaping the architectural aspects of the hotel.
This is more than a hotel; it is the missing piece of our downtown infrastructure. Located along the scenic Carroll Creek Linear Park, this full-service Marriott flagship property will feature approximately 208 guest rooms and over 21,000+ square feet of dedicated meeting space. For the first time, business travelers will have a destination that combines state-of-the-art conference facilities with the walkable, historic vibrancy that defines our city.
Fueling Frederick’s economic engine as tourism in our region reaches new heights, this project is poised to capture a market that currently bypasses our community. In 2024 alone, visitor spending in Frederick surged to a record $564 million. The Downtown Frederick Hotel and Conference Center will accelerate this momentum, serving as an economic catalyst that benefits residents and local businesses alike. By attracting and retaining major conferences and business travelers within county lines, we are creating hundreds of permanent jobs and generating millions in estimated annual economic impact.
ECONOMIC IMPACT
Building on the momentum of the past 30+ years of investment, the Downtown Hotel at Carroll Creek is an exciting project that will bring new lodging and meeting space to Downtown Frederick. This new facility responds to both community desires and business needs.
